2.Features
2.1 General description
REC1508 bases on DekTec’s DTU-215,which is an USB-2 UHF/VHF modulator.DTU-215 transmits DAB/
DAB+ signal and it is installed in the REC1508.There is an amplifier behind the DTU-215 end,then RF
signal arrives to outside-manual operation-attenuator.All the DTU-215,amplifier and attenuator,etc,are undergoing circuit calculations and accurate signal offset to make sure the set RF LEVEL is precise.
REC1508 runs software named StreamXpress.StreamXpress provides basic transport stream information including:transport stream contents, PID, and file information. It provides start, stop, pause, seamless
looping and much more capabilities.
The StreamXpress software opened automatically when power on.The user just click the PLAY button to make REC1508 works.All the parameters will be saved automatically before power off.The DAB signal is continuous
but never pause when play repeatly.
2.2 General menu
This section describes the general menus at the top of the StreamXpress interface. Following thistable, a more detailed section offers some additional information on the menus.
But,we strongly recommend the user don’t to change any settings at the top of the StreamXpress interface.Because the parameters match the whole circuit and the firmware environment already.Any change cause the RF LEVEL output doesn’t precise anymore presumably.
2.3 Frequency set
When click Channel to set frequency,Keypad popup automatically.Usres can set the frequency value conveniently by a mouse.
3 Specifications
REC1508 is a Digital RF DAB/DAB/T-DMB signal generator complying with Some Digital Pattern Protocol (European DAB Standard ETS 300 401) .
It is useful to certificate of Digital Audio Service and Data Service application of DAB/DAB/T-DMB receivers
by using its own unique DAB/DAB/T-DMB patterns.

5 Firmware Upgrade
REC1508 installed one low noise Amplifier and one outside-manual operation-attenuator with high-precision.
The model of amplifier is ZFL-1000LN-2B,Mini-Circuits USA.
The model of outside-manual operation-attenuator is 50DR-087N,JFW INDUSTRIES INC USA.
The attenuator is two level adjustable.The bigger one knob is used for 10dB adjustment,we make it as A.The smaller one knob is used for 1dB adjustment,we make it as B.There is an obvious mark point in the middle of the base.The sum of A and B is just the RF OUTPUT LEVEL.This LEVEL value is precise,and it can pass the Certification of the third party.
